Refreshment

I just walked into the house after being at work all day. The girls had piano and I went shopping for a few things. I walked into my bedroom to take of my shoes and realized that I had made my bed this morning. Yes, I'm guilty....I don't make my bed every morning.
I don't know why that made such a difference in my mood, but it was so refreshing to walk into my room and see a neat and tidy bed.

Random, I know, but thought I would share. It's the little things in life, right!

What about you? Are there any of those little things that just give you a tiny pick-me-up?

2 Sweet Comments:

  1. Yes! I was going to clean out my closet before baby came, but things got crazy and I wasn't able to. The other day I got it all organized, clothes hung by color, shoes in order, and so on...Even though that feels the only place in my house that I manage to keep organized, sometimes I just go stand in the doorway and look at it because it makes me feel happy! Gives me hope that it will spread to other areas. I feel the same way about a made bed...I haven't made mine like I usually do lately.

  2. I don't think I've made a bed since I graduated from college :) However, my husband loves made beds. I'll get up in the morning, take a bath and when I go back in my room to get dressed I'll discover that our bed is made. Crazy man waits for me to wake up, dashes upstairs and makes the bed, then leaves for work. I then scatter unmatched socks and discarded outfit choices on it. How he manages to live with me... :p

My little pick-me-up is coming home from work and seeing a clean kitchen table. I love that. It makes my mood improve immediately!
